In the 5th minute Amos Lepre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José-Luis Chilavert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alvaro Rotili took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Chabier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 8 minutes into the game, Jardel Cabezon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Alvaro Rotili was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 11 minutes into the match, EoDu Uai Sôccer's goal looked a bit too open when Federico Lucente came free, but José-Luis Chilavert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Lucente in the 13th minute of play forced EoDu Uai Sôccer's goalkeeper José-Luis Chilavert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner ended in Cristiano Maggi almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but EoDu Uai Sôccer's José-Luis Chilavert did a great save. In the 34th minute of the match Senen Tartales sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alvaro Rotili skillfully saved the ball. A.S. Udinese's Federico Lucente got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José-Luis Chilavert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amos Lepre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

A.S. Udinese made a substitution. Armin Ruggeri replaced Ferenc Kocsis. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. The referee showed Eraldo Motta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alvaro Rotili showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jardel Cabezon, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. With a little luck, EoDu Uai Sôccer's José-Luis Chilavert got control of the ball when Federico Lucente tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg José-Luis Chilavert managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when A.S. Udinese's Federico Lucente fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 82 minutes into the game, EoDu Uai Sôccer's Demetrio Cannata nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alvaro Rotili made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. A.S. Udinese's Alvaro Rotili played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erivaldo Pernambucano in the 92nd minute of play. When Alessio Ferreri fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A.S. Udinese's protests and gave Alessio Ferreri a yellow card for diving instead. In the 93rd minute, one of A.S. Udinese:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for A.S. Udinese. Alvaro Rotili went to the wrong direction when Jardel Cabezon was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Federico Lucente got free with José-Luis Chilavert in the 98th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. EoDu Uai Sôccer had won after a very even match.
