The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. FC Saxon's Gustaw Lech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ted Borker in the 5th minute of play. Gustaw Lech made an important save on a dangerous shot by Feddo Reitsma in the 9th minute. Feddo Reitsma hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 16th match minute, FC Saxon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ludomil Zajonc to maneuver through the defense. 17 minutes into the match, FC Saxon's goal looked a bit too open when Ted Borker came free, but Gustaw Lech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ted Borker took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gustaw Lech. Gustaw Lech dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Maraman Reitsma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeusz Siekierka, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 23 minutes into the match, FC Saxon's goal looked a bit too open when Ted Borker came free, but Gustaw Lech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ted Borker in the 26th minute of play forced FC Saxon's goalkeeper Gustaw Lech to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 35 played minutes, FC Saxon's Karol Gendolla shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Maraman Reitsma came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Saxon reached it. Maraman Reitsma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antoni Bubczyk in the 37th minute of play. After 39 played minutes FC Saxon got a freekick which was hit by Olgierd Falkowski. In the 44th minute, Roland Banaszak made a precise shot to the right of Maraman Reitsma. Ágætis Byrjun's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Olgierd Falkowski made in the 46th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Ágætis Byrjun's Laurens Reitsma. The Ágætis Byrjun players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Saxon were winning 1-2.
Ágætis Byrjun's Maraman Reitsma proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Ágætis Byrjun from getting a goal against them. Maraman Reitsma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sylwester Bejrut in the 53rd minute of the match. Maraman Reitsma had great luck who in the 68thth minute grab hold of the ball when Antoni Bubczyk from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After 71 minutes FC Saxon's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ted Borker who took care of the corner kick. The attack was good, but when Fokke Reitsma in the 71st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 73 minutes into the match, FC Saxon's goal looked a bit too open when Ted Borker came free, but Gustaw Lech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute, Sylwester Bejrut left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Saxon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Karol Gendolla made in the 80th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Ágætis Byrjun's Laurens Reitsma. Gustaw Lech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feddo Reitsma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sylwester Bejrut in the 83rd minute of play forced Ágætis Byrjun's goalkeeper Maraman Reitsma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Ágætis Byrjun's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeusz Siekierka came free, but Maraman Reitsma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Laurens Erenstein's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gustaw Lech read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. After 95 played minutes Ágætis Byrjun got a freekick which was hit by Laurens Reitsma. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC Saxon had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
