The crowd rose to their feet as Gheorghe Craioveanu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mekki Pink. That made the score 2-0 in the 37 minute of play. In the 42nd minute of the match, Victor Piţurcă tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mekki Pink saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Nichifor Nicolae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jagoan Kentill in the 44th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Mekki Pink made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Piţurcă in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute of the game Jafar Mursadat made a throw-in which Stevanus Avianto played forward. In the 57th minute Victor Piţurcă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mekki Pink saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mekki Pink showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gheorghe Craioveanu in the 60th minute of the match. If Rafet Nesip had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bintang Budiono was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 65 minutes into the match. Bintang Budiono kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Julio Iglesias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Emerald's supporters rose to their feet, but Julio Iglesias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mekki Pink breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A sloppy throw-in by Jafar Mursadat in the 69th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Emerald's Hurşit Cemşit. Victor Piţurcă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Emerald's attentive Hurşit Cemşit managed to snatch the ball when Jafar Mursadat made a throw-in in the 88th minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Victor Piţurcă's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mekki Pink was relentless in the 90th minute of the game.
