Spectators: 8017 (Terracing: 6015, Seating: 1843, VIP seats: 159) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Moritz Christe kicked off to start the match. Academica Pulheim's Ercole Armellini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Academica Pulheim from getting a goal against them. Gení Maestro hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pinkus Mack in the 9th minute of play forced April 25 SC's goalkeeper Cordario Encina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. April 25 SC's Cordario Encina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moritz Christe in the 10th minute of play. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Academica Pulheim's goalkeeper Ercole Armellini, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 15 minutes, Ahmet Paşa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. April 25 SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmet Paşa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The throw-in from Carl Derm in the 18th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by April 25 SC's Leon Goretzka. After a rather tough play, Academica Pulheim's Meinolf Rebe got a free kick in the 21st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ramiro James in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ercole Armellini prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carsten Boy hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After having played for 36 minutes, Ahmet Paşa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. April 25 SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmet Paşa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 38 minutes into the game, Carl Kröger cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Cordario Encina was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cordario Encina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moritz Christe, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Cordario Encina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moritz Christe in the 41st minute of play. When April 25 SC's Ahmet Paşa in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Academica Pulheim's goalie prevented a goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anier Rocendo to make the kick off. Cordario Encina made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carl Kröger in the 55th minute. The supporters of Academica Pulheim booed when April 25 SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiro James didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute Edgar Gomminginger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cordario Encina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ercole Armellini came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by April 25 SC's Anier Rocendo. But to his dismay, Anier Rocendo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Cordario Encina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Gomminginger in the 73rd minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Academica Pulheim's goal looked a bit too open when Ramiro James came free, but Ercole Armellini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute Hardi Tornau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cordario Encina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, April 25 SC's goal looked a bit too open when Ali Köpsel came free, but Cordario Encina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Academica Pulheim defense, Anier Rocendo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ercole Armellini. The Academica Pulheim fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ercole Armellini should have stopped the shot. Cordario Encina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Gomminginger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A nice corner shot did that Malte Rastätter got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cordario Encina quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Academica Pulheim's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
