Hardi Tornau hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Lluterio Gorron hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Ercole Armellini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Socorro in the 23rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Academica Pulheim defense, Ciro Socorro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ercole Armellini. The Academica Pulheim fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ercole Armellini should have stopped the shot. In the 29th minute Dionisio Otsando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ercole Armellini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th match minute, Academica Pulheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralph Wickede to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Academica Pulheim getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Malte Rastätter hit a great ball. Blas Jakobe charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Blas Jakobe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 40th match minute, Deportivo Pergamino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blas Jakobe to maneuver through the defense. Academica Pulheim's Malte Rastätter shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 44th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Alonzo Atarrabi but with some difficulty. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Academica Pulheim made a substitution. Florian Schulitz replaced Edgar Gomminginger. Deportivo Pergamino's Alonzo Atarrabi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carl Kröger in the 58th minute of play. 58 minutes into the game, Carl Kröger cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Alonzo Atarrabi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Academica Pulheim's Meinolf Rebe was substituted for Pinkus Mack. In the 68th minute, Dionisio Otsando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Pergamino's Dionisio Otsando got a free kick in the 69th minute. Carl Kröger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Alonzo Atarrabi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alonzo Atarrabi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bert Brandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. When Blas Jakobe was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 75 minutes had been played. In the 82nd match minute, Academica Pulheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hardi Tornau to maneuver through the defense. Ercole Armellini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciro Socorro, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Alonzo Atarrabi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bert Brandes in the 89th minute of play. Alonzo Atarrabi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carl Kröger in the 92nd minute of the match. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Pergamino's goalkeeper Alonzo Atarrabi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 96th minute, Florian Schulitz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Academica Pulheim fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Deportivo Pergamino's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Academica Pulheim had won, even though Deportivo Pergamino had held more of the ball.
