NAPOLI from getting a goal against them. Edoardo Proietti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafiq Bahir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Hatem Mujahid managed to get in a good position for a shot. Líbano's supporters rose to their feet, but Hatem Mujahid was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edoardo Proietti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edoardo Proietti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafiq Bahir in the 20th minute of play. Naser Awat struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Edoardo Proietti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Líbano. S.S.C. NAPOLI's Edoardo Proietti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Naser Awat in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Nixon in the 29th minute of play forced Líbano's goalkeeper Hafiz Romad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Líbano's goalkeeper Hafiz Romad, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

NAPOLI's Edoardo Proietti. Edoardo Proietti was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 92 played minutes Líbano got a freekick which was hit by Rafiq Bahir. S.S.C. NAPOLI's Dave Pierucci got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dave Pierucci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the Líbano players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
