To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 38 minutes into the match, PHOENIX SC's goal looked a bit too open when Anatoly Karpov came free, but Kurniawan Bisri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, Gelu Bâru was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Maci -MM-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PHOENIX SC the free kick. Gelu Bâru hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Vladimir Kramnik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Komar Pahlevi in the 44th minute of the match. Kurniawan Bisri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anatoly Karpov, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After 47 played minutes FC Maci -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Vali Mitu. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anatoly Karpov made a kick off. Holin Probohudono sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vladimir Kramnik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Komar Pahlevi in the 55th minute of play. 56 minutes into the game, Anatoly Karpov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Kurniawan Bisri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nechifor Brad during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 59 played minutes FC Maci -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Nechifor Brad. If Vali Mitu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute, PHOENIX SC's Komar Pahlevi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vladimir Kramnik. Vladimir Kramnik yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Komar Pahlevi during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 71st minute of the game Ovidiu Bobeica made a throw-in which Nechifor Brad played forward. When Nechifor Brad was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 72 minutes had been played. PHOENIX SC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
