Romeo Farias hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute of the match Cosmo Muth sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paulo Francho skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of El Renacer del Quijano FC booed when SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cosmo Muth didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rolland Sallai stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Teobaldo Javiar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mark Flecken read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Teobaldo Javiar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mark Flecken was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Mark Flecken showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teobaldo Javiar in the 61st minute of the match. Paulo Francho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Enrico Schmedes in the 64th minute. 66 minutes into the match, El Renacer del Quijano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Burkhard Schlick came free, but Paulo Francho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Cosmo Muth got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Paulo Francho quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 71 minutes into the game, Jorge Kauldi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Renacer del Quijano FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. the free kick. After 71 played minutes El Renacer del Quijano FC got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Kauldi. Paulo Francho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Burkhard Schlick, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. The audience was convinced that Burkhard Schlick's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulo Francho was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Enrico Schmedes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Paulo Francho made a huge save. Teo Beltza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mark Flecken having to make a save. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. made a substitution. Benny Dörfler replaced Cosmo Muth. Enrico Schmedess short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Paulo Francho to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Paulo Francho came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Burkhard Schlick. But to his dismay, Burkhard Schlick quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Hartwig Kuhn lost his temper 89 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.:s Mark Flecken showed great skill when he stopped Enrique Ikatz:s penalty. After 92 minutes SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Humberto Johans who took care of the corner kick. El Renacer del Quijano FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. had controlled the match.
