Spectators: 7974 (Terracing: 5982, Seating: 1834, VIP seats: 158) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Noel Duarte made the kick off which started today's match. Sydney Ross took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Insaurralde, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Zorros del Desierto's Adriano Tripailaf got a free kick in the 17th minute. Robbie Fowler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Radomil Bucyki made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Robbie Fowler sent off a good shot on target. Sydney Ross made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Duarte in the 24th minute of play. After 26 played minutes Manly FC got a freekick which was hit by Rob Burton. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Insaurralde in the 31st minute of play forced Manly FC's goalkeeper Sydney Ross to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Manly FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Mourad Rocchi hit a great ball. Radomil Bucyki made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Robbie Fowler sent off a good shot on target. Sydney Ross showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sverker Zander in the 40th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Sverker Zander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute of the match, Robbie Fowler tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Radomil Bucyki saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Cristian Insaurralde might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sydney Ross. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Insaurralde ran back to his position shaking his head. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

If Chiquito Escalante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sverker Zander in the 61st minute of play forced Manly FC's goalkeeper Sydney Ross to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Manly FC's Sydney Ross got control of the ball when Noel Duarte tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Noel Duarte got free with Sydney Ross in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 67 played minutes Zorros del Desierto got a freekick which was hit by Adriano Tripailaf. 69 minutes into the game, Sverker Zander recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sydney Ross. Sverker Zander showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Sydney Ross showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sverker Zander, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. 76 minutes into the match, Zorros del Desierto's goal looked a bit too open when Robbie Fowler came free, but Radomil Bucyki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manly FC's Sydney Ross played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chiquito Escalante in the 79th minute of play. Radomil Bucyki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rob Burton in the 82nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Zorros del Desierto's Chiquito Escalante slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sydney Ross. That made the score 0-3 after 83 minutes of play. Manly FC's Fleming Wal was substituted for Valentino Panetta. In the 89th minute Zorros del Desierto were awarded a corner. Sverker Zander went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Simón Iturbe got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sydney Ross quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 90th play minutes Chiquito Escalante shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Sydney Ross and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 95th minute Rob Burton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radomil Bucyki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute, Zorros del Desierto's Jon-Ander Wallffiguer ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sydney Ross. Sydney Ross yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. The Manly FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Zorros del Desierto's performance. The match ended with a win for Zorros del Desierto.
