After 4 played minutes Romário Gol rounded Hertha 1969's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Adelino Schmidt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pascal Prinzing, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pascal Prinzing in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adelino Schmidt saved Lupere FC - DMZ from getting behind. After 9 minutes, Pascal Prinzing made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Lupere FC - DMZ's Adelino Schmidt tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee felt a red card was in order, 12 minutes into the game, when Moisés Donato put in a rough tackle. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Lupere FC - DMZ! A collision led to Hertha 1969 getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Axel Schwarz hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romário Gol in the 16th minute of play forced Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Moritz Trehkopf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Lupere FC - DMZ booed when Hertha 1969 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franz-Peter Patschull didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lupere FC - DMZ's Adelino Schmidt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loy Herbold in the 20th minute of play. Loy Herbold blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adelino Schmidt having to make a save. Adelino Schmidt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hendrik Behloch in the 25th minute of the match. Adelino Schmidt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pascal Prinzing, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Giovani Vianna kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Hendrik Behloch missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 31 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Adelino Schmidt right hand side. Lupere FC - DMZ's Adelino Schmidt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loy Herbold in the 33rd minute of play. Adelino Schmidt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pascal Prinzing, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Lupere FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Pascal Prinzing came free, but Adelino Schmidt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hertha 1969's Moritz Trehkopf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romário Gol in the 45th minute of play. In the 47th match minute, Lupere FC - DMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per De Pau to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Romário Gol to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Lupere FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Pascal Prinzing came free, but Adelino Schmidt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute of the match Rainer Appolt sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adelino Schmidt skillfully saved the ball. The long shot by Wolf-Rüdiger Bügen in the 64th minute really tested Adelino Schmidt's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 69 minutes into the match, Lupere FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Adelino Schmidt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hendrik Behloch. If Romário Gol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute, Romário Gol ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Moritz Trehkopf was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Gero Andersen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Adelino Schmidt. That made the score 2-2 in the 79 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Lupere FC - DMZ's Giovani Vianna got a free kick in the 81st minute. A hard shot by Wolf-Rüdiger Bügen from long distance, 83 minutes into the match, got Adelino Schmidt's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 87 minutes Lupere FC - DMZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wolf-Rüdiger Bügen who took care of the corner kick. Adelino Schmidt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilfried Biehle in the 89th minute. 96 minutes into the match, Hertha 1969's goal looked a bit too open when Romário Gol came free, but Moritz Trehkopf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
