Ciro Ostadar made a great header on Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s corner, it was just that Las Momias F. C.'s Esteve Bernat managed to reach the ball for a save. With a little luck, Las Momias F. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Santos Bartuelo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Rosio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luís Hernandez to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Hernandez in the 54th minute of play forced Las Momias F. C.'s goalkeeper Esteve Bernat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Luís Hernandez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Esteve Bernat was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tiburcio Salvatore got free with Paulo Rosio in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Las Momias F. C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atletas Campesinos F.C. the free kick. Joel Federigo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
