But to his dismay, Ursino Brunet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A very good chance for a goal. 9 minutes into the match, C.A Huracan's goal looked a bit too open when Ursino Brunet came free, but Sven Skark reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nacional's Juaneizu Merida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave Basso in the 13th minute of play. Carl Sagan made a great header on C.A Huracan's corner, it was just that Nacional's Juaneizu Merida managed to reach the ball for a save. Fidel Chesus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juaneizu Merida having to interfere. Juaneizu Merida made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Marcos Sabino sent off a good shot on target. Sven Skark took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tarcísio Caetano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ursino Brunet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sven Skark showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ursino Brunet in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Antonio Delfino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute, one of C.A Huracan:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for C.A Huracan. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dave Basso made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, C.A Huracan's Dave Basso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juaneizu Merida narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Juaneizu Merida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Sabino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Dave Basso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juaneizu Merida was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. The supporters of C.A Huracan booed when Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Nacional supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Nacional would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
