With a little luck, Yupandú FC's Astor Efren got control of the ball when Teodoro Moreno tried to sneak it across the goal line. Matt Ryan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gwidon Michalski's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Teodoro Moreno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Astor Efren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Astor Efren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodoro Moreno, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. When Pitin Sánchez fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.Salgado F.C.'s protests and gave Pitin Sánchez a yellow card for diving instead. Cristobal Quiroga charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristobal Quiroga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. F.Salgado F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rio Uchiha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Yupandú FC made a substitution. Shane Milligan replaced Gwidon Michalski. 78 minutes into the match, F.Salgado F.C.'s goalkeeper Matt Ryan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Shane Milligan. Cristobal Quiroga got his second yellow card in the match during the 80th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 80 played minutes Yupandú FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristobal Quiroga. 81 minutes into the match, Yupandú FC's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Moreno came free, but Astor Efren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Robert Macaneață's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Astor Efren was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. The F.Salgado F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when F.Salgado F.C.'s Robert Macaneață looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 87 played minutes Yupandú FC got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Rivas. Teodoro Moreno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Astor Efren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. F.Salgado F.C. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
