In the 16th minute, The Obscurials's Adriano Ribeiro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Santiago Cañizares. Santiago Cañizares yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. 23 minutes into the match, The Obscurials's goal looked a bit too open when Florentin Gougeon came free, but Zheng Chao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Valencia C.F.'s goalkeeper Santiago Cañizares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 27th minute of the match The Obscurials got a corner. Valencia C.F.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fabian Spânu ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 33rd minute Florentin Gougeon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zheng Chao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zheng Chao stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Florentin Gougeon's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. After 40 minutes, Nelson Wright mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the The Obscurials and the Valencia C.F. players grew even worse after the yellow card. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adriano Ribeiro to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of The Obscurials booed when Valencia C.F. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Al Capone didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santiago Cañizares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anders Westerstrand, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 60thth minute of the game Adriano Ribeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Valencia C.F.'s Santiago Cañizares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Valencia C.F.'s Santiago Cañizares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anders Westerstrand in the 63rd minute of play. After 64 played minutes Valencia C.F. got a freekick which was hit by Tuncay Candeğer. Santiago Cañizares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adriano Ribeiro in the 65th minute of the match. The Obscurials's Zheng Chao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florentin Gougeon in the 74th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Jonny Logan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zheng Chao. That made the score 2-1 in the 75 minute of play. The Obscurials's Angelo Eiró was substituted for Cliff Rowden. 93 minutes into the match, Valencia C.F.'s goal looked a bit too open when Lawrance Grandison came free, but Santiago Cañizares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tuncay Candeğer kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. The Obscurials fully deserved thier win.
