The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee ignored Kwyjibo's protests and gave Etxepare Angostina a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th minute, one of Kwyjibo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Kwyjibo. Jonny Clayton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Sylwester Wawro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Kwyjibo's Christian Burgo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Calvin Kuckhoff narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Rowell in the 28th minute of play forced Kwyjibo's goalkeeper Sylwester Wawro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sylwester Wawro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Galvão in the 29th minute of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Patrick Galvão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, West Staines Massive's Sylwester Wawro threw himself towards the right post 56 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dan Rowell, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 65th minute Patrick Galvão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sylwester Wawro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 68 played minutes Kwyjibo got a freekick which was hit by Sven McNamara. Patrick Galvão did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-1 to the left of a surprised Sylwester Wawro 81 minutes into the match. West Staines Massive's Calvin Kuckhoff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Burgo in the 84th minute of play. Michael Weniger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Sylwester Wawro made a huge save. West Staines Massive's Maurice Höfgen was substituted for Helmuth Follmann. In the 89th minute, Obar Mudaffar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 92 minutes Kwyjibo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Romão Zarco who took care of the corner kick. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. West Staines Massive had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
