Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Ilkka Markkula played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Bertassi in the 13th minute of play. Leonardo Sigali kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the game, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Raimundo Tupper nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 63rd minute of the match, Yan Zhi Chuan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Leonides Telesforo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Hugo Holflod hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yan Zhi Chuan in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonides Telesforo saved Cable a Tierra from getting behind. Yan Zhi Chuan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yan Zhi Chuan in the 83rd minute of play forced Cable a Tierra's goalkeeper Leonides Telesforo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cable a Tierra's Leonides Telesforo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Cable a Tierra from getting a goal against them. 87 minutes into the match, Cable a Tierra's goalkeeper Leonides Telesforo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yan Zhi Chuan. Club Deportes Santa Cruz were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after Cable a Tierra's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vágner Linares took the corner. Ilkka Markkula showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Echeverri in the 91st minute of the match. Ilkka Markkula didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ahmet Kutsi Dirsehan went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Cable a Tierra's Saverio Mercurio got a free kick in the 95th minute. A hard and well directed shot from Vágner Linares led 96 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Cable a Tierra's Leonides Telesforo became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 1-4. The Cable a Tierra supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Club Deportes Santa Cruz's performance. The match ended with a win for Club Deportes Santa Cruz.
