Fedele Marzo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Fernando Courtois made a huge save. When Dennis Bergkamp came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Agro Imortal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dennis Bergkamp couldn't finish the play. 11 minutes into the match, Atletico San Jacopino's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Bergkamp came free, but Fabiano Daniele reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Agro Imortal's Fernando Courtois proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Agro Imortal from getting a goal against them. Fabiano Daniele showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dennis Bergkamp, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 25th minute of the match Agro Imortal got a corner. Atletico San Jacopino's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vitinho Peixoto made a great header on Agro Imortal's corner, it was just that Atletico San Jacopino's Fabiano Daniele managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 32nd minute, Fernando Mesquita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Dennis Bergkamp came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Agro Imortal fans jumped to their feet. Atletico San Jacopino's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dennis Bergkamp was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dennis Bergkamp to make the kick off. When Fernando Mesquita fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atletico San Jacopino's protests and gave Fernando Mesquita a yellow card for diving instead. Fabiano Daniele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Bergkamp in the 55th minute of the match. Atletico San Jacopino's defense didn't have a chance, in the 57th minute, when Dennis Bergkamp scored to the left of an out of position Fabiano Daniele, making the score, 2-2. Fernando Courtois took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Er Didia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Atletico San Jacopino's Eraldo Cicchinelli was substituted for Leon Veto. After a rather tough play, Agro Imortal's Nilmar Guerra got a free kick in the 86th minute. After having played for 90 minutes, Dennis Bergkamp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Agro Imortal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dennis Bergkamp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Agro Imortal's Fernando Courtois played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eraldo Cicchinelli in the 93rd minute of play. Emílio Teixeira charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emílio Teixeira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 94th minute, Emílio Teixeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Atletico San Jacopino players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
