In the 4th match minute, Vila Industrial FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Vianna to maneuver through the defense. César Boldrini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dobromir Zagrodny, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 5 minutes Vila Industrial FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dobromir Zagrodny who took care of the corner kick. 7 minutes into the match, Vila Industrial FC's goal looked a bit too open when Xu Li Sang came free, but César Boldrini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute Dobromir Zagrodny shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but César Boldrini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexhit Koçi made in the 12th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Vila Industrial FC's Aleksandr Leonov. César Boldrini was a little too slow when Chico de Sousa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 14th minute. The score was now 1-0. Dalmo Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Black Power in the 21st minute of the match. César Boldrini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xu Li Sang in the 24th minute of play. Roberto Cibran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 32 minutes, Xu Li Sang managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jovens Democratas MZC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xu Li Sang was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 36th minute, Mexhit Koçi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute Dorian Valladares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmo Saldanha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dorian Valladares took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dalmo Saldanha. Dalmo Saldanha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Jovens Democratas MZC's Dalmo Saldanha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorian Valladares in the 40th minute of play. The supporters of Vila Industrial FC booed when Jovens Democratas MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dobromir Zagrodny didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mexhit Koçi hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dorian Valladares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dalmo Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorian Valladares, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 58th minute Dorian Valladares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmo Saldanha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. César Boldrini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chico de Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. César Boldrini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dobromir Zagrodny in the 74th minute of play. In the 76th minute Chico de Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but César Boldrini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. César Boldrini was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Benedicto Obano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Dalmo Saldanha made a huge save. Vila Industrial FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Jovens Democratas MZC had controlled the match.
