Cléberson Leme started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute of the match, Tiago Gabriel Arósio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Juan Perrando saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With an all-out effort, Aguinhas's Juan Perrando threw himself towards the right post 8 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tiago Gabriel Arósio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Juan Perrando stood somewhat misplaced when Tiago Gabriel Arósio came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 8 minute. Juan Perrando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitório Lago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the match, NUMBA's Jacobo Magdaleno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Faustão Gaspar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 24 minutes into the game, Rubens da Fonseca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aguinhas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave NUMBA the free kick. After 24 played minutes Aguinhas got a freekick which was hit by Rubens da Fonseca. Juan Perrando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiago Gabriel Arósio, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Aguinhas's Faustão Gaspar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacobo Magdaleno in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Aguinhas's Vitório Lago got a free kick in the 37th minute. Arlindo Ortiz charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arlindo Ortiz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Aguinhas getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Arlindo Ortiz hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute, Sandrinho da Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Apolo Piarres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 46 minutes of play, NUMBA's Jacobo Magdaleno made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Faustão Gaspar was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jacobo Magdaleno was the one to do the kick off. During the 51st minute of the match Arlindo Ortiz completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Arlindo Ortiz a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 52nd minute, Arlindo Ortiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aguinhas's Faustão Gaspar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Aguinhas from getting a goal against them. When NUMBA's Apolo Piarres in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Aguinhas's goalie prevented a goal. If Americo Gilabert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan Perrando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiago Gabriel Arósio in the 68th minute of play. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by NUMBA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vitório Lago was slow to take the kick. During this time Aguinhas's players had a chance to rest. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacobo Magdaleno got free with Faustão Gaspar in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Faustão Gaspar was a little too slow when Jacobo Magdaleno got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 2-2. If Tiago Gabriel Arósio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacobo Magdaleno had several of the Aguinhas's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 97 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-4 score and a disappointed Faustão Gaspar as he didn't even see the shot coming.
