After a rather tough play, Black Dog F.C.'s Anier Vasco got a free kick in the 12th minute. 14 minutes into the game, CERRO PORTEÑO's Celestino Alfaro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leandro Artizar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Leandro Artizar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celestino Alfaro in the 18th minute. Leandro Artizar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Astor Sobrido, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. When Anier Vasco fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. When Luisito Gadañon came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the CERRO PORTEÑO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luisito Gadañon couldn't finish the play. CERRO PORTEÑO's Luisito Gadañon got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to CERRO PORTEÑO getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Luisito Gadañon hit a great ball. Leandro Artizar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celestino Alfaro in the 41st minute. Luisito Gadañon took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leandro Artizar. Leandro Artizar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. The supporters of Black Dog F.C. booed when CERRO PORTEÑO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno Berrondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Giraldo Laiseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erubiel Haimar in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Justo Lucero was the one to do the kick off. CERRO PORTEÑO's Giraldo Laiseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justo Lucero in the 53rd minute of play. Leandro Artizar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celestino Alfaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 55th minute, Jeremias Farras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Luisito Gadañon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leandro Artizar was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. If Astor Sobrido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Astor Sobrido managed to get in a good position for a shot. CERRO PORTEÑO's supporters rose to their feet, but Astor Sobrido was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leandro Artizar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of CERRO PORTEÑO booed when Black Dog F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Patxi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 71 played minutes, CERRO PORTEÑO's Gotzon Lamas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Leandro Artizar came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CERRO PORTEÑO reached it. Luisito Gadañon might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leandro Artizar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luisito Gadañon ran back to his position shaking his head. Leandro Artizar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celestino Alfaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisito Gadañon in the 81st minute of play forced Black Dog F.C.'s goalkeeper Leandro Artizar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cayetano Jerico had several of the CERRO PORTEÑO's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 85 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 5-1 score and a disappointed Giraldo Laiseca as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 88th minute Celestino Alfaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Artizar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CERRO PORTEÑO's Luisito Gadañon got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, CERRO PORTEÑO's Gartxot Antonijoan got a free kick in the 92nd minute. CERRO PORTEÑO's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
