Arturo Oriol made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfredas Klenkys in the 4th minute. If Dangiras Rutkus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 11 minutes into the game, Savage Hippo's Vaclovas Jacinaitis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arturo Oriol made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Alfredas Klenkys fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arturo Oriol having to interfere. Jaime Nevada hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. With his leg Arturo Oriol managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Savage Hippo's Alfredas Klenkys fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jotautas Bakštys in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arturo Oriol saved Pegaso from getting behind. Pegaso's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Dangiras Rutkus scored to the left of an out of position Arturo Oriol, making the score, 2-0. 32 minutes into the game, Dangiras Rutkus recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arturo Oriol. Dangiras Rutkus showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Arturo Oriol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dangiras Rutkus in the 35th minute of the match. Arturo Oriol made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vaclovas Jacinaitis in the 41st minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jotautas Bakštys was the one to do the kick off. Fermin Deunoro's late challenge caught a Savage Hippo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fermin Deunoro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 58th minute Jotautas Bakštys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arturo Oriol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Dangiras Rutkus had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arturo Oriol. Pegaso's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dangiras Rutkus was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Naglis Jonušas made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Teo Phelipe sent off a good shot on target. Eduardas Girčius took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arturo Oriol. Pegaso's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Pegaso's Teo Phelipe got a free kick in the 69th minute. 71 minutes into the game, Algitas Mažeikis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Savage Hippo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pegaso the free kick. A collision led to Savage Hippo getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Algitas Mažeikis hit a great ball. Naglis Jonušas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelino Cebo in the 73rd minute of the match. 75 minutes into the game, Teo Phelipe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Naglis Jonušas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Pegaso booed when Savage Hippo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vytaras Liaudanskas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute, Pegaso's Geronimo Bernaldo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Geronimo Bernaldo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Pegaso protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Geronimo Bernaldo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 81 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pegaso! Arturo Oriol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jotautas Bakštys, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Teo Phelipe fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pegaso's protests and gave Teo Phelipe a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Pegaso getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Teo Phelipe hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute, Alfredas Klenkys ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arturo Oriol was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. 98 minutes into the match, Pegaso's goal looked a bit too open when Vaclovas Jacinaitis came free, but Arturo Oriol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Savage Hippo's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
