Jan Åman started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, PIAUÍ FC's Mateus Moreno got a free kick in the 11th minute. If Rodrigo Nestor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Gotham City's Folke Ström got a free kick in the 15th minute. Ove Damm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Nestor in the 17th minute of the match. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gotham City's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Zé Roberto Velloso was slow to take the kick. During this time PIAUÍ FC's players had a chance to rest. In the 22nd minute Rodrigo Nestor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ove Damm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan Åman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Italo Franklin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jan Åman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Italo Franklin having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Gotham City's goal looked a bit too open when Maurinho Tavares came free, but Ove Damm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ove Damm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Nestor in the 40th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodrigo Nestor in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ove Damm prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ove Damm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Nestor in the 44th minute of play. After 46 minutes Gotham City's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Zé Roberto Velloso who took care of the corner kick. Abel Donatello was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Ove Damm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Nestor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rodrigo Nestor to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Abel Donatello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ove Damm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan Åman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Jan Åman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Italo Franklin was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Maurinho Tavares charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maurinho Tavares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Maurinho Tavares hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Rodrigo Nestor hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Folke Ström's late challenge caught a PIAUÍ FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Folke Ström helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of PIAUÍ FC booed when Gotham City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Folke Ström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ove Damm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Donatello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 70 minutes Gotham City's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Zé Roberto Velloso who took care of the corner kick. Rodrigo Nestors short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Ove Damm to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 74 minutes of play Gotham City's Folke Ström was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of PIAUÍ FC booed when Gotham City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Folke Ström didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Gotham City getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Claes Abrahamsson hit a great ball. PIAUÍ FC's Zé Roberto Velloso got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emanuel Bergsten kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. A collision led to PIAUÍ FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Mateus Moreno hit a great ball. Italo Franklin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olle Dusett in the 80th minute of play. Italo Franklin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arman Fanström in the 83rd minute of the match. 84 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Nestor cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ove Damm was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Olle Dusett recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arman Fanström struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Italo Franklin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gotham City. Gotham City's Jan Åman suffered a sore knee after 91 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Rodrigo Nestor charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodrigo Nestor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 93rd minute, Rodrigo Nestor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Gotham City supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching PIAUÍ FC's performance. The match ended with a win for PIAUÍ FC.
