PIAUÍ FC's Italo Franklin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otto Klepp in the 4th minute of play. 6 minutes into the game, Otto Klepp cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Italo Franklin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Italo Franklin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jim-André Øvsthus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Italo Franklin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jim-André Øvsthus in the 14th minute of play. Sigve Berre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Nestor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mateus Moreno took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sigve Berre. Sigve Berre dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Italo Franklin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jim-André Øvsthus in the 21st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maurinho Tavares got free with Sigve Berre in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jim-André Øvsthus struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Italo Franklin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rakkestad IF. When Otto Klepp came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Rakkestad IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Otto Klepp couldn't finish the play. In the 31st minute, Otto Klepp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Otto Klepp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Italo Franklin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roy Nymoen in the 41st minute of play forced PIAUÍ FC's goalkeeper Italo Franklin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maurinho Tavares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Sigve Berre made a huge save. After 45th play minutes Otto Klepp shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Italo Franklin and just under the crossbar into goal. After the first half Rakkestad IF were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodrigo Nestor to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabinho Félix in the 52nd minute of play forced Rakkestad IF's goalkeeper Sigve Berre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd minute Roy Nymoen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Italo Franklin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 56th minute by Otto Klepp got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 58th match minute, PIAUÍ FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateus Moreno to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the match, PIAUÍ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Otto Klepp came free, but Italo Franklin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jim-André Øvsthus in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Italo Franklin, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With his leg Italo Franklin managed to avoid a goal in the 67thth minute, when Rakkestad IF's Jim-André Øvsthus fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 68 minutes into the game, Vetle Frydenberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rakkestad IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PIAUÍ FC the free kick. Vetle Frydenberg hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. 70 minutes into the match, PIAUÍ FC's goalkeeper Italo Franklin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jim-André Øvsthus. After a defensive mix-up in PIAUÍ FC's zone, Jim-André Øvsthus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Italo Franklin came out of the goal and Jim-André Øvsthus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roy Nymoen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Italo Franklin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jim-André Øvsthus who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Italo Franklin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rakkestad IF's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
