In the 29th match minute, Savage Hippo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vaclovas Jacinaitis to maneuver through the defense. Otto Klepp struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Naglis Jonušas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rakkestad IF. Adolfas Karpis lost his temper 34 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 34th minute, one of Savage Hippo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Savage Hippo. Alfredas Klenkys sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfredas Klenkys to make the kick off. Sigve Berre made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Vaclovas Jacinaitis sent off a good shot on target. Sigve Berre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dangiras Rutkus in the 74th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Rakkestad IF defense, Vaclovas Jacinaitis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sigve Berre. The Rakkestad IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sigve Berre should have stopped the shot. 82 minutes into the match, Rakkestad IF's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredas Klenkys came free, but Sigve Berre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dangiras Rutkus in the 96th minute of play forced Rakkestad IF's goalkeeper Sigve Berre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Savage Hippo had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
