The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Paulopolis's Marcel Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vaclovas Jacinaitis in the 4th minute of play. In the 5th minute Jotautas Bakštys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vaclovas Jacinaitis scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcel Mota, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 15th minute Alfredas Klenkys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sílvio Luís Mello hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Deividas Laužikas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcel Mota. Paulopolis's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Alfredas Klenkys ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcel Mota was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Marcel Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vaclovas Jacinaitis in the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th match minute, Paulopolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hudson Vargas to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Savage Hippo booed when Paulopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hudson Vargas didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dangiras Rutkus in the 40th minute of play forced Paulopolis's goalkeeper Marcel Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcel Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jotautas Bakštys, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcel Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vaclovas Jacinaitis in the 45th minute of the match. Marcel Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredas Klenkys in the 47th minute of play. The Paulopolis players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Savage Hippo were winning 0-3.

Hudson Vargas's late challenge caught a Savage Hippo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hudson Vargas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 53rd match minute, Paulopolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hudson Vargas to maneuver through the defense. Marcel Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jotautas Bakštys in the 55th minute of play. Marcel Mota came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Savage Hippo's Jotautas Bakštys. But to his dismay, Jotautas Bakštys quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Marcel Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jotautas Bakštys, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfredas Klenkys got free with Marcel Mota in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vaclovas Jacinaitis scored 0-7 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcel Mota, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 90th minute, Savage Hippo's Dangiras Rutkus ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marcel Mota. Marcel Mota yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. In the 93rd match minute, Paulopolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chico Andrade to maneuver through the defense. Marcel Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jotautas Bakštys in the 94th minute of the match. Lino Meira hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
