Spectators: 7536 (Terracing: 5653, Seating: 1733, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ívan James got the match started through his kick off. Fergus Fairbairn made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Christian Gély sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Alexandrie CF booed when Rangers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darius Bontine didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Rangers FC's zone, Fábio Cardoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fergus Fairbairn came out of the goal and Fábio Cardoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fergus Fairbairn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fábio Cardoso in the 7th minute of the match. Fergus Fairbairn was out of position in the 10 minute of play, and Ívan James capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ívan James really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Renaud Berthier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danny Gilespie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute, Angus Howison made a precise shot to the right of Renaud Berthier. Alexandrie CF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Stevie McGilvray recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th minute, Fábio Cardoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Renaud Berthier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angus Howison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angus Howison in the 28th minute of play forced Alexandrie CF's goalkeeper Renaud Berthier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ívan James in the 31st minute of play forced Rangers FC's goalkeeper Fergus Fairbairn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Renaud Berthier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angus Howison, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Ronan McLaws kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. The Alexandrie CF fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when Alexandrie CF's Ívan James looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Through an outstanding action, after 43 minutes, Fergus Fairbairn successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Angus Howison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Renaud Berthier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ívan James scored 3-1 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fergus Fairbairn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Danny Gilespie made a kick off. Fergus Fairbairn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ívan James in the 53rd minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Rangers FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 55th minute. Penalty! In the 57th minute there was a penalty for Alexandrie CF. John-Paul Atlan stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Fergus Fairbairn. 4-1. After 62 minutes of play, Alexandrie CF's Ívan James made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fergus Fairbairn was left in no man's land by his defense there! 66 minutes into the match, Alexandrie CF's goalkeeper Renaud Berthier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stevie McGilvray. Fergus Fairbairn came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Alexandrie CF's Ívan James. But to his dismay, Ívan James quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. In the 74th minute Ívan James shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fergus Fairbairn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fergus Fairbairn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ívan James, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the match, Rangers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fábio Cardoso came free, but Fergus Fairbairn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Alexandrie CF's Djamel Scheffer got a free kick in the 86th minute. After 87 played minutes, Rangers FC's Tim Charles shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Renaud Berthier came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rangers FC reached it. Danny Gilespie scored 6-2 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Renaud Berthier, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee ended the match the Alexandrie CF players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
