The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benigno Vermudo in the 4th minute of play forced Abutres 2003 FDP's goalkeeper Caio da Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristo Haritz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Vidal, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. With his leg Cristo Haritz managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Abutres 2003 FDP's Gabriel Vidal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 16th minute of the match Abutres 2003 FDP got a corner. Santa Maradona's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Geovani do Nascimento ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Geovani do Nascimento almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Santa Maradona's Cristo Haritz did a great save. Gabriel Vidal scored 1-0 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristo Haritz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Claudinho Pernambucano came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Abutres 2003 FDP fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudinho Pernambucano couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Santa Maradona getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Cecilio Ubarna hit a great ball. After having played for 22 minutes, Cristóvão de Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Abutres 2003 FDP's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristóvão de Salles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vinícius Soeiro came free with the goalkeeper in the 24th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cristo Haritz could save by the left post. The audience was convinced that Gabriel Vidal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristo Haritz was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Roberto Boniel took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Caio da Costa. Caio da Costa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. With his leg Cristo Haritz managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Abutres 2003 FDP's Gabriel Vidal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gabriel Vidal in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristo Haritz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Santa Maradona's Cecilio Ubarna got a free kick in the 35th minute. A collision led to Santa Maradona getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Roberto Boniel hit a great ball. Cristo Haritz stood somewhat misplaced when Gabriel Vidal came free in front of goal and shot 2-1 to the left of him in the 42 minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gabriel Vidal in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristo Haritz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Luis Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santa Maradona's supporters rose to their feet, but Luis Santana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caio da Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gabriel Vidal made a kick off. Cristo Haritz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Vidal, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gabriel Vidal in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristo Haritz saved Santa Maradona from getting behind. When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Gabriel Vidal sped through Santa Maradona's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cristo Haritz. Gabriel Vidal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Cristo Haritz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Santa Maradona defense, Gabriel Vidal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristo Haritz. The Santa Maradona fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristo Haritz should have stopped the shot. If Jerônimo Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roberto Boniel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Caio da Costa made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arnaldo Pires during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Arnaldo Pires hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gabriel Vidal in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristo Haritz saved Santa Maradona from getting behind.
