Seating: 1715, VIP seats: 149) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Danny Gilespie took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 2 minutes, Danny Gilespie mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rangers FC and the Cascade Park West players grew even worse after the yellow card. Danny Gilespie hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. In the 5th minute Danny Gilespie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles Knapp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Will Acuna hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. If Angus Howison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Charles Knapp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angus Howison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Charles Knapp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angus Howison, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute Danny Gilespie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles Knapp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fergus Fairbairn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cole Whitfield in the 17th minute of play. Cascade Park West's Charles Knapp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angus Howison in the 19th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Danny Gilespie in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Charles Knapp saved Cascade Park West from getting behind. In the 24th minute, Danny Gilespie made a precise shot to the right of Charles Knapp. Cascade Park West's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 27th minute Angus Howison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles Knapp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charles Knapp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danny Gilespie in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stevie McGilvray in the 29th minute of play forced Cascade Park West's goalkeeper Charles Knapp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Cascade Park West's Cole Whitfield got a free kick in the 35th minute. Cascade Park West's Charles Knapp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danny Gilespie in the 38th minute of play. Charles Knapp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danny Gilespie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The wind increased when Ervin Talbot made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Merrill Corcoran cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Fergus Fairbairn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 56 minutes into the game, Cascade Park West's Cole Whitfield nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fergus Fairbairn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Ronan McLaws's late challenge caught a Cascade Park West's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ronan McLaws helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Rangers FC's Ronan McLaws got a free kick in the 59th minute. Cascade Park West's Charles Knapp proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Cascade Park West from getting a goal against them. Stevie McGilvray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Knapp having to interfere. When Scotty Haynes fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cascade Park West's protests and gave Scotty Haynes a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Cascade Park West getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Scotty Haynes hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cole Whitfield during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cole Whitfield hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Charles Knapp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angus Howison in the 68th minute of the match. Cole Whitfield got his second yellow card in the match during the 68th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Rangers FC booed when Cascade Park West was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cole Whitfield didn't get a good kick on the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Cascade Park West's goalkeeper Charles Knapp had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Danny Gilespie. After 74 minutes of play, Rangers FC's Danny Gilespie made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Charles Knapp was left in no man's land by his defense there! 79 minutes into the match, Stevie McGilvray dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Charles Knapp, 3-3. The Cascade Park West supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Rangers FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Rangers FC.
