The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jefferson do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rudy Trotter, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. A collision led to Karaboudjan getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Santiago Starnes hit a great ball. Karaboudjan's Jefferson do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudy Trotter in the 13th minute of play. A well done corner resulted in Gary Gamble drilling the ball in to score 0-1 behind Karaboudjan's goalkeeper. The crowd rose to their feet as Karaboudjan's Santiago Starnes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alfred Crowder. That made the score 1-1 after 19 minutes of play. If Fred Renteria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Rudy Trotter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the match, Evaristo Tolino notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Creekers's Alfred Crowder. Alfred Crowder was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 31st play minutes Rudy Trotter shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Jefferson do Vale and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 34th minute, Alfredo Baez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jefferson do Vale came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Creekers's Rudy Trotter. But to his dismay, Rudy Trotter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. In the 42nd minute Evaristo Tolino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfred Crowder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evaristo Tolino in the 43rd minute of play forced Creekers's goalkeeper Alfred Crowder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jefferson do Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rudy Trotter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Santiago Starnes took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfred Crowder. Alfred Crowder dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-4. Jefferson do Vale made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Stacey Geiger sent off a good shot on target. In the 58th minute Filomeno Nicholas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfred Crowder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfred Crowder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santiago Starnes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evaristo Tolino hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Alfred Crowder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Quintal in the 76th minute of play. Wilton de Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Alfredo Baez lost his temper 82 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Antony Donnelly managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karaboudjan's supporters rose to their feet, but Antony Donnelly was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfred Crowder breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Almir da Fonseca lost his temper 87 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The goalkeeper, Jefferson do Vale, was totally fooled by Creekers's Rashad Elliott, who 88 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.
