Gernando Mineiro hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Severino Falcão struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Ospin Campello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nova Iguaçu MZFC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Severino Falcão in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ospin Campello saved Soucar FC from getting behind. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Aloísio Zanette in the 18th minute. Severino Falcão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Ospin Campello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Dorival Brodel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ospin Campello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Falcão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Horácio Simão charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Horácio Simão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Horácio Simão kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. With his leg Michel Seco managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when Soucar FC's Polifemo Unzueta fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ospin Campello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Rosado, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Xurdin Camaño's late challenge caught a Nova Iguaçu MZFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Xurdin Camaño helped the player get up and apologised. Xurdin Camaño hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Falcão in the 31st minute of play forced Soucar FC's goalkeeper Ospin Campello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute of the match Nova Iguaçu MZFC got a corner. Soucar FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aloísio Zanette ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 35th match minute, Nova Iguaçu MZFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gernando Mineiro to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Soucar FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Roberto Calvo hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Hélio Pimenta got a free kick in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Ospin Campello came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Severino Falcão. But to his dismay, Severino Falcão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 54th match minute, Nova Iguaçu MZFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horácio Simão to maneuver through the defense. 60 minutes into the game, Severino Falcão cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Ospin Campello was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ospin Campello didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Afonso Rosado went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. With his leg Ospin Campello managed to avoid a goal in the 67thth minute, when Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Severino Falcão fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ospin Campello stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Severino Falcão's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Ospin Campello made an important save on a dangerous shot by Horácio Simão in the 69th minute. After 74 minutes, Feijo Calderon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Soucar FC and the Nova Iguaçu MZFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Soucar FC's Ospin Campello tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Severino Falcão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ospin Campello was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Horácio Simão got free with Ospin Campello in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 86th play minutes Severino Falcão shot 0-6, a short shot which went by Ospin Campello and just under the crossbar into goal. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Severino Falcão was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 90th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 93rd minute, Dorival Brodel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Soucar FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Nova Iguaçu MZFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Nova Iguaçu MZFC.
