PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Vito Furlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lisandro Masses in the 5th minute of play. Hélder Maciel's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Vito Furlan firmly grabbed it by the left post. 9 minutes into the match, OSASCO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Giovanni Simões came free, but Feliciano Demesio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vito Furlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualter Trigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Dagoberto Teixeira kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 14th minute José Maria Koehler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vito Furlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vito Furlan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vito Furlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Masses in the 39th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Gualter Trigo put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Vito Furlan. Vito Furlan was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Lisandro Masses capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lisandro Masses really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualter Trigo in the 78th minute of play forced PEÇONHENTO FC MG's goalkeeper Vito Furlan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sem Do had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the match, PEÇONHENTO FC MG's goal looked a bit too open when Fernandão de Almeida came free, but Vito Furlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vito Furlan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualter Trigo in the 97th minute of the match.
