Spectators: 7490 (Terracing: 5618, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hildeberto Sesimbra kicked off to start the match. After 4 played minutes AC Korban got a freekick which was hit by Serginho de Castro. After 6 minutes, Umberto Machado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AC Korban and the Academia Monte Gordo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Umberto Machado hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Thomás de Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damião Passos in the 8th minute of play. 9 minutes into the game, Academia Monte Gordo's Hildeberto Sesimbra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thomás de Godoi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. AC Korban's Thomás de Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Leonardo in the 14th minute of play. Damião Passos scored 0-2 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thomás de Godoi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Igor Colaço hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute Hildeberto Sesimbra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomás de Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Academia Monte Gordo booed when AC Korban was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serginho de Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. AC Korban's Thomás de Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damião Passos in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Elivélton Palmeira notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Academia Monte Gordo's Mateus Teves. Mateus Teves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Academia Monte Gordo's Antonio Silva got a free kick in the 35th minute. After 40 minutes of play, Academia Monte Gordo's Damião Passos made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thomás de Godoi was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Academia Monte Gordo's Mateus Teves got control of the ball when Flávio Baptista tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Flávio Baptista was the one to do the kick off. Marcos Leonardo kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Serginho de Castro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mateus Teves having to make a save. Serginho de Castro struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Mateus Teves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC Korban. When Serginho de Castro fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC Korban's protests and gave Serginho de Castro a yellow card for diving instead. After 60 played minutes AC Korban got a freekick which was hit by Serginho de Castro. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damião Passos got free with Thomás de Godoi in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 67th minute, Hildeberto Sesimbra reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Thomás de Godoi. The goal made the score 1-4. 73 minutes into the match, Marcos Leonardo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Thomás de Godoi, 1-5. In the 76th minute, Academia Monte Gordo's Hildeberto Sesimbra ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Thomás de Godoi. Thomás de Godoi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-6. In the 79th minute Igor Colaço suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Flávio Baptista's late challenge caught a Academia Monte Gordo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Flávio Baptista helped the player get up and apologised. Academia Monte Gordo made a substitution. Estevão Falcão replaced Igor Colaço. Flávio Baptista hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Marcos Leonardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 84th minute, Flávio Baptista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Academia Monte Gordo's Damião Passos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Thomás de Godoi. That made the score 1-8 after 89 minutes of play. Thomás de Godoi made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Damião Passos sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, AC Korban's Serginho de Castro got a free kick in the 95th minute. Academia Monte Gordo's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
