Geronimo Rainerio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquín Montalvo in the 3rd minute of the match. Geronimo Rainerio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejo Veliz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arturo Ferrer made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Hector Silvanito sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Quitilipi defense, Joaquín Montalvo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Geronimo Rainerio. The Quitilipi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geronimo Rainerio should have stopped the shot. 13 minutes into the game, Club Atlético Lea Papá's Joaquín Montalvo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Geronimo Rainerio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. A collision led to Club Atlético Lea Papá getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Joaquín Montalvo hit a great ball. After 20 minutes, Fulgencio Johans mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quitilipi and the Club Atlético Lea Papá players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th minute, Fulgencio Johans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joaquín Montalvo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Quitilipi booed when Club Atlético Lea Papá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aureliano Rivero didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquín Montalvo in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geronimo Rainerio saved Quitilipi from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejo Veliz in the 31st minute of play forced Quitilipi's goalkeeper Geronimo Rainerio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hector Silvanito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Arturo Ferrer made a huge save. In the 46th minute, Fulgencio Johans reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Arturo Ferrer. The goal made the score 2-2. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joaquín Montalvo to make the kick off. In the 58th match minute, Quitilipi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximo Loco to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquín Montalvo got free with Geronimo Rainerio in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 75th minute of the match Club Atlético Lea Papá got a corner. Quitilipi's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alejo Veliz ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Alejo Veliz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Geronimo Rainerio quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Geronimo Rainerio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joaquín Montalvo went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. 79 minutes into the match, Joaquín Montalvo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Geronimo Rainerio. Quitilipi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joaquín Montalvo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. Geronimo Rainerio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquín Montalvo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Quitilipi's Geronimo Rainerio got control of the ball when Joaquín Montalvo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 88th minute Club Atlético Lea Papá were awarded a corner. Alejo Veliz went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Alejo Veliz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Quitilipi's Geronimo Rainerio did a great save. In the 94th minute Alejo Veliz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geronimo Rainerio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
