Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) Köping's Alex Lidström started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute Henning Beckeman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel Duset saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alex Lidström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 11 minutes of play, Köping's Alex Lidström made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Michel Duset was left in no man's land by his defense there! Michel Duset made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henning Beckeman in the 14th minute of play. If Alex Lidström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 1-1 became the score in the 19th minute when Andréas Johnsson elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andréas Johnsson during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vilgot Dahlbom hit a great ball. Alex Lidström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Michel Duset came out of the goal and Elliott Bredberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Isac Lindkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Andréas Johnsson struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Jack Lindgren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Asarum.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andréas Johnsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Asarum booed when Köping was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fredrik Abelsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henning Beckeman in the 56th minute of play forced Asarum's goalkeeper Michel Duset to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henning Beckeman might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Michel Duset. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Henning Beckeman ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 60th match minute, Asarum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Magnus Nyberg to maneuver through the defense. Michel Duset made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elliott Bredberg in the 71st minute. Michel Duset was a little too slow when Elliott Bredberg got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 1-3. In the 77th minute, Alex Lidström made a precise shot to the right of Michel Duset. Asarum's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. 81 minutes into the match, Asarum's goal looked a bit too open when Henning Beckeman came free, but Michel Duset reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Alex Lidström notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Asarum's Michel Duset. Michel Duset was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Alex Lidström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Asarum's Michel Duset proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Asarum from getting a goal against them. In the 97th minute Vilgot Dahlbom suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 97 minutes into the game, Elliott Bredberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Köping's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Asarum the free kick. Asarum made a substitution. Magnus Gunnarsson replaced Vilgot Dahlbom. After a rather tough play, Köping's Elliott Bredberg got a free kick in the 98th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Köping walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
