Spectators: 7532 (Terracing: 5650, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 150) After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Tiago Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot. EDI MZB's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiago Machado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Josué Castro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Gustavo Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Derwin Abaurre kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiago Machado in the 13th minute of play forced Escuadrón Mercenario's goalkeeper Josué Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Josué Castro came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by EDI MZB's Tiago Machado. But to his dismay, Tiago Machado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiago Machado in the 23rd minute of play forced Escuadrón Mercenario's goalkeeper Josué Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 25 minutes, Tiago Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EDI MZB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiago Machado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 27 played minutes EDI MZB got a freekick which was hit by Edi Souza. Valdo de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Epifanio Abaurre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Epifanio Abaurre in the 35th minute of play forced EDI MZB's goalkeeper Valdo de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 35 minutes, Edi Souza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the EDI MZB and the Escuadrón Mercenario players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to EDI MZB getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Edi Souza hit a great ball. Tiago Machado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Josué Castro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Fábio Alves's late challenge caught a Escuadrón Mercenario's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fábio Alves helped the player get up and apologised. In the 39th minute, Fábio Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 46 minutes, Valdo de Queirós successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Escuadrón Mercenario's Josué Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Machado in the 48th minute of play. The Escuadrón Mercenario players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. EDI MZB were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Epifanio Abaurre made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gustavo Souza in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Josué Castro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Gustavo Souza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Josué Castro was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. With his leg Josué Castro managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when EDI MZB's Tiago Machado fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Escuadrón Mercenario's Josué Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Machado in the 60th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Epifanio Abaurre in the 62nd minute of play forced EDI MZB's goalkeeper Valdo de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Escuadrón Mercenario's goalkeeper Josué Castro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tiago Machado. Josué Castro was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Gustavo Souza capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gustavo Souza really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. In the 77th minute Epifanio Abaurre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdo de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rubinho Costa during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 79th minute, Rubinho Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustavo Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Josué Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iztal Aballe struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Valdo de Queirós didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Escuadrón Mercenario. EDI MZB made a substitution. Telmo Bueno replaced Evandro Maia. Tiago Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josué Castro having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. EDI MZB walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
