Gláuber Fernandes kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Xuaco Otero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Teodoro Meireles. Bandeirinha AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Xuaco Otero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jaizki Lacorte during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 10 minutes into the game, Curcio Amer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Teodoro Meireles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 13 minutes into the match, Curcio Amer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Teodoro Meireles. Bandeirinha AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Curcio Amer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donatello Incera in the 16th minute of play forced Bandeirinha AD's goalkeeper Teodoro Meireles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teodoro Meireles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Curcio Amer in the 17th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Curcio Amer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teodoro Meireles was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Bandeirinha AD's Teodoro Meireles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xuaco Otero in the 22nd minute of play. Falcão Gaspar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. PERSPOLIS's Jaizki Lacorte got his second yellow card of the match in the 25th minute. The referee ordered Jaizki Lacorte off the ground. Teodoro Meireles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donatello Incera in the 28th minute of play. Teodoro Meireles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baltazar Vives, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Donatello Incera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Curcio Amer in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teodoro Meireles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The PERSPOLIS fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when PERSPOLIS's Donatello Incera looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Curcio Amer, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 41 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Teodoro Meireles was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Bandeirinha AD's Teodoro Meireles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltazar Vives in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Curcio Amer made a kick off. After a rather tough play, PERSPOLIS's Curcio Torres got a free kick in the 58th minute. Teodoro Meireles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Curcio Amer in the 60th minute of play. Donatello Incera took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Teodoro Meireles. Teodoro Meireles dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Falcão Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teodoro Meireles had great luck who in the 66thth minute grab hold of the ball when Curcio Amer from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Bandeirinha AD's Teodoro Meireles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Curcio Amer in the 68th minute of play. Teodoro Meireles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baltazar Vives in the 69th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Curcio Amer notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Bandeirinha AD's Teodoro Meireles. Teodoro Meireles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 76th minute, Ramiro Coutinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When PERSPOLIS's Curcio Amer in 83 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Teodoro Meireles guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Donatello Incera struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Teodoro Meireles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PERSPOLIS. The supporters of PERSPOLIS booed when Bandeirinha AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renatinho Reis didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xuaco Otero in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teodoro Meireles saved Bandeirinha AD from getting behind. PERSPOLIS played a much better game than Bandeirinha AD and deserved their victory. The Bandeirinha AD players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
