Várzea F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Aníbal Paes in the 6th minute. Aníbal Paes made a great header on Várzea F.C.'s corner, it was just that GIOVANNI DZIADZIA's Tobiasz Zawadzki managed to reach the ball for a save. Teobald Kempski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Romeu Batista made a huge save. Celso Secco hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Brataniec in the 14th minute of play forced Várzea F.C.'s goalkeeper Romeu Batista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of GIOVANNI DZIADZIA booed when Várzea F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filipe Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Luiz Guilherme Barreto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tobiasz Zawadzki. GIOVANNI DZIADZIA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Guilherme Barreto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 20th minute, Rogério Loureiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tobiasz Zawadzki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruninho Arósio, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Bruninho Arósio's late challenge caught a GIOVANNI DZIADZIA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bruninho Arósio helped the player get up and apologised. 35 minutes into the match, Várzea F.C.'s Luiz Guilherme Barreto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tobiasz Zawadzki narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 37th minute, Celso Secco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd match minute, Várzea F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogério Loureiro to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 44 in the game by Iker Boruc from a close distance when the talented Romeu Batista managed to make a qualified save. Várzea F.C.'s players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in GIOVANNI DZIADZIA's zone, Luiz Guilherme Barreto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tobiasz Zawadzki came out of the goal and Luiz Guilherme Barreto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The GIOVANNI DZIADZIA players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Várzea F.C. were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bruninho Arósio made a kick off. Romeu Batista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Brataniec, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Várzea F.C.'s Romeu Batista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arkadiusz Mirowski in the 57th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Várzea F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Arkadiusz Mirowski came free, but Romeu Batista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miguel Marques made in the 62nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Aníbal Paes. After a rather tough play, Várzea F.C.'s Celso Secco got a free kick in the 66th minute. Sergiy Ramos hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Tobiasz Zawadzki acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 72nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Aníbal Paes. Romeu Batista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iker Boruc in the 75th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arkadiusz Mirowski in the 79th minute of play forced Várzea F.C.'s goalkeeper Romeu Batista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes into the game, Iker Boruc was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GIOVANNI DZIADZIA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Várzea F.C. the free kick. In the 83rd match minute, GIOVANNI DZIADZIA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iker Boruc to maneuver through the defense. Luiz Guilherme Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute Luiz Guilherme Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobiasz Zawadzki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kazimierz Cwojdak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Romeu Batista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Várzea F.C. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
