John Wahlnäs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Mingo in the 10th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Emanuel Mingo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FF Små Gröna Män's John Wahlnäs. John Wahlnäs was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Mingo in the 14th minute of play forced FF Små Gröna Män's goalkeeper John Wahlnäs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to FF Små Gröna Män getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Svante Blom hit a great ball. After 17 played minutes, CLATHU's Lucio Baladi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper John Wahlnäs came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CLATHU reached it. CLATHU's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Dick Hagberg scored to the left of an out of position Bernabe Osorio, making the score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clodoveo Clementi in the 26th minute of play forced FF Små Gröna Män's goalkeeper John Wahlnäs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Svante Blom kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. When Cristóbal Colon came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the CLATHU fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristóbal Colon couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in CLATHU's zone, Arvid Henriksson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernabe Osorio came out of the goal and Arvid Henriksson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. John Wahlnäs had in the 35thth minute some difficulties stopping Aprígio Tomé's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Dick Hagberg took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernabe Osorio. Bernabe Osorio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 45th match minute, CLATHU was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnoldo Caetano to maneuver through the defense. In the 48th minute Dick Hagberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernabe Osorio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Dick Hagberg made the kick off in the second half. Aprígio Tomé fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Wahlnäs having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Aprígio Tomé reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of John Wahlnäs. The goal made the score 2-2. Clodoveo Clementi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute Aprígio Tomé shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Wahlnäs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernabe Osorio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arvid Henriksson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute, Sven Westerberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Aprígio Tomé had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 90 minutes, Verner Hansson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FF Små Gröna Män and the CLATHU players grew even worse after the yellow card. Emanuel Mingo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Wahlnäs having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Verner Hansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the game, CLATHU's Emanuel Mingo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. John Wahlnäs made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. The FF Små Gröna Män manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing CLATHU to win.
