S.C.PAULISTA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 4th minute, when Lino Feyto scored to the left of an out of position Flávio Fantini, making the score, 1-0. After a rather tough play, S.C.PAULISTA's Elias Mazza got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 10th minute of the game Róbson de Amaral made a throw-in which Hugo da Fonseca played forward. Acácio Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, S.C.PAULISTA's Flávio Fantini got control of the ball when Lino Feyto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hugh Gilbertson charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hugh Gilbertson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Gavião Kyikatejê's Hugh Gilbertson got a free kick in the 20th minute. Max Gilespie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Prado in the 21st minute of play. A collision led to S.C.PAULISTA getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Acácio Alves hit a great ball. Lino Feyto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Flávio Fantini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lino Feyto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flávio Fantini was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Lino Feyto capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lino Feyto really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Lino Feyto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Acácio Alves to make the kick off. In the 58th minute, Róbson de Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lino Feyto in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flávio Fantini saved S.C.PAULISTA from getting behind. Flávio Fantini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lino Feyto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the match, S.C.PAULISTA's goal looked a bit too open when Lino Feyto came free, but Flávio Fantini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute Lino Feyto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flávio Fantini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. S.C.PAULISTA's Flávio Fantini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Feyto in the 71st minute of play. In the 76th minute, Lino Feyto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lino Feyto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flávio Fantini having to interfere. Lino Feyto might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Flávio Fantini. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lino Feyto ran back to his position shaking his head. Martin McComas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flávio Fantini having to interfere. After some careless play in the S.C.PAULISTA defense, Lino Feyto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Flávio Fantini. The S.C.PAULISTA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Flávio Fantini should have stopped the shot. There was no doubt that Gavião Kyikatejê were the better team. Gavião Kyikatejê's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
