Nicolas Mel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vito Soeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Diguinho Ortiz notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Tequileros FC's Nicolas Mel. Nicolas Mel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 27 minutes, Ciriaco Jokin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tequileros FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciriaco Jokin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arsenio Fidensio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Eusébio Albuquerque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Epifanio Fernandez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Eusébio Albuquerque when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Eusébio Albuquerque made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arsenio Fidensio in the 32nd minute. 34 minutes into the game, Ricardinho Montenegro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Nicolas Mel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dorian de Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgardo Rey during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 45 minutes of play, Santo Amaro AC's Diguinho Ortiz made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicolas Mel was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Santo Amaro AC were leading 1-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 52 played minutes Tequileros FC got a freekick which was hit by Nicanor Mikelats. Eusébio Albuquerque showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Epifanio Fernandez in the 55th minute of the match. Diguinho Ortiz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Nicolas Mel made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Tequileros FC's Ciriaco Jokin got a free kick in the 59th minute. Nicolas Mel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diguinho Ortiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Arsenio Fidensio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 93 minutes, Arsenio Fidensio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tequileros FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arsenio Fidensio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Santo Amaro AC booed when Tequileros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roman Elia didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Santo Amaro AC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Santo Amaro AC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
