Åsnes's Dan Ødegaard got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mariusz Kaczanka stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kristian Sandersen's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. The audience was convinced that Rafal Cempa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christer Waaler was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. When Kristian Sandersen fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Åsnes's protests and gave Kristian Sandersen a yellow card for diving instead. After 21 played minutes Åsnes got a freekick which was hit by Kristian Sandersen. Tobias Haugvaldstad took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mariusz Kaczanka. INTER Sosnowiec's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacek Majkowski during the 23rd minute. In the 45th match minute, Åsnes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristian Sandersen to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kajetan Dlugi was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Rafal Cempa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. INTER Sosnowiec's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafal Cempa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Tobias Haugvaldstad managed to get in a good position for a shot. Åsnes's supporters rose to their feet, but Tobias Haugvaldstad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mariusz Kaczanka breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Martin Rustad took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mariusz Kaczanka. INTER Sosnowiec's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to INTER Sosnowiec getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. After 77 played minutes, INTER Sosnowiec's Barnaba Gendolla shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Christer Waaler came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in INTER Sosnowiec reached it. Christer Waaler came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by INTER Sosnowiec's Rafal Cempa. But to his dismay, Rafal Cempa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After having played for 85 minutes, Dan Ødegaard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Åsnes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dan Ødegaard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 96 minutes in the game, Dan Ødegaard fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Mariusz Kaczanka having to interfere. Åsnes succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though INTER Sosnowiec had controlled the match.
