When Serafin Froylan fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kaplan's protests and gave Serafin Froylan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6th minute, Serafin Froylan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sverker Lindgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucio Soin in the 11th minute of the match. Sverker Lindgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafin Froylan in the 12th minute of play. Sverker Lindgren was a little too slow when Narciso Eriz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 2-0. Torsten Nordström kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. When Mauricio Cordera came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Kaplan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauricio Cordera couldn't finish the play. In the 22nd minute, Kaplan's Lucio Soin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sverker Lindgren. Sverker Lindgren yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. 26 minutes into the match, Gudhem's goal looked a bit too open when Lucio Soin came free, but Sverker Lindgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gudhem's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mauricio Cordera was slow to take the kick. During this time Kaplan's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Serafin Froylan managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. With a little luck, Gudhem's Sverker Lindgren got control of the ball when Aristides Avellaneda tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 31st play minute Amador Bela came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Sverker Lindgren. 4-0. In the 34th minute, Lucio Soin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 36 played minutes Gudhem got a freekick which was hit by Elias Askestät. A collision led to Gudhem getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Valter Olofsson hit a great ball. Jimeno Barros took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sverker Lindgren. Gudhem's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sverker Lindgren made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Serafin Froylan sent off a good shot on target. If Lucio Soin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lucio Soin to make the kick off. In the 58th minute, Birger Rydelius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. But to his dismay, Serafin Froylan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. 91 minutes into the match, Lucio Soin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sverker Lindgren. Gudhem's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucio Soin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-0. Kaplan walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
