The referee ignored Remedios SC's protests and gave Chivu Quintana a yellow card for diving instead. 5 minutes into the match, Grosso United's goal looked a bit too open when Chivu Quintana came free, but Saturnino Romo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godofredo Manny in the 7th minute of play forced Remedios SC's goalkeeper Jean dos Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carolo Urbasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Jean dos Santos made a huge save. Horácio Galvão charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Godofredo Manny stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Chivu Quintana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saturnino Romo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Augusto Sena in the 73rd minute of play forced Grosso United's goalkeeper Saturnino Romo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Moisés Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Jean dos Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godofredo Manny in the 82nd minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Grosso United fully deserved thier win.
