Spectators: 7490 (Terracing: 5618, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Godofredo Manny started the match with the kick off. When Garanhão do SUL's Dimas Álvares in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Grosso United's goalie prevented a goal. 6 minutes into the match, Grosso United's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Garikoitz came free, but Saturnino Romo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saturnino Romo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Necaettin Akdemirci in the 13th minute of play. Garanhão do SUL were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Grosso United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tarcísio Palha took the corner. In the 16th minute, Elias Garikoitz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Garanhão do SUL fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Saturnino Romo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dimas Álvares, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Aureliano Geofredo's late challenge caught a Garanhão do SUL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aureliano Geofredo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Grosso United's Aureliano Geofredo got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute, Necaettin Akdemirci made a precise shot to the right of Saturnino Romo. Grosso United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After having played for 25 minutes, Dimas Álvares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Garanhão do SUL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dimas Álvares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Saturnino Romo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Necaettin Akdemirci, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Garanhão do SUL's Heitor Peseiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godofredo Manny in the 35th minute of play. Almiro Cabral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 43rd minute of the match Tarcísio Palha shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Saturnino Romo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Grosso United's Saturnino Romo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Garikoitz in the 45th minute of play.

51 minutes into the game, Gaspar Valadão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Garanhão do SUL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grosso United the free kick. Gaspar Valadão hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Rigoberto Boniel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 52nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Heitor Peseiro. Garanhão do SUL's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 53 played minutes Grosso United got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Boniel. In the 58th minute, a hard, long distance shot from Tarcísio Palha hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. Grosso United's Saturnino Romo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Grosso United from getting a goal against them. During the 67th minute of the match Aureliano Geofredo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Aureliano Geofredo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Grosso United getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Aureliano Geofredo hit a great ball. Saturnino Romo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Garikoitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Saturnino Romo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elias Garikoitz's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dimas Álvares in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Saturnino Romo saved Grosso United from getting behind. Leandro Lorenz hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute, Dimas Álvares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Saturnino Romo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3.
