After a rather tough play, Los Trip's Cosme Guzman got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Los Trip's Aquiles Lluques proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Los Trip from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulgencio Arce in the 6th minute of play forced Grêmio Prudente's goalkeeper José Vítor Ramos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Los Trip's Aquiles Lluques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arlindo Luz in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Celsinho Neiva notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Los Trip's Aquiles Lluques. Aquiles Lluques was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Iker Ruy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 17 minutes into the match, Los Trip's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Peres came free, but Aquiles Lluques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Grêmio Prudente's Zé Peres sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aquiles Lluques narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Los Trip's Aquiles Lluques proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Los Trip from getting a goal against them. In the 34th minute, Carlos Urre ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Vítor Ramos was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 37th minute of the match, Celsinho Neiva got a very nice opportunity to score, but Aquiles Lluques was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Celsinho Neiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grêmio Prudente's supporters rose to their feet, but Celsinho Neiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aquiles Lluques breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 46th minute Zé Peres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aquiles Lluques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Celsinho Neiva to make the kick off. In the 62nd minute, Celsinho Neiva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grêmio Prudente fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guto Lucas in the 65th minute of play forced Los Trip's goalkeeper Aquiles Lluques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th match minute, Grêmio Prudente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júnior de Salles to maneuver through the defense. Zeledon Veremundo, 67 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. A collision led to Grêmio Prudente getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Celsinho Neiva hit a great ball. Edmundo Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquiles Lluques having to interfere. Aquiles Lluques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celsinho Neiva in the 76th minute of play. José Vítor Ramos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fulgencio Arce in the 80th minute. The supporters of Grêmio Prudente booed when Los Trip was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeledon Veremundo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aquiles Lluques didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zé Peres went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Aquiles Lluques didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arlindo Luz went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Iker Ruy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. José Vítor Ramos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Grêmio Prudente fans cheered their team off the field, for while Los Trip had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
