Spectators: 7474 (Terracing: 5607, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Narciso Vergaray kicked off to start the match. Holger Johnsson made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Narciso Vergaray sent off a good shot on target. When Roy Bennet came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Protegéerna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roy Bennet couldn't finish the play. Protegéerna's Rikard Lindgren quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gilberto Fiz, made in the 21st minute of the game. Pepe Santoro came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Protegéerna's Roy Bennet. But to his dismay, Roy Bennet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB's Narciso Vergaray in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Protegéerna's goalie prevented a goal. In the 35th minute, Roy Bennet made a precise shot to the right of Pepe Santoro. INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Higinio Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kristoffer Kock's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pepe Santoro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB's Faustino Fertus was substituted for Luisito Jaen. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roy Bennet in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pepe Santoro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Erling Fredriksson's late challenge caught a INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erling Fredriksson helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Protegéerna getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Erling Fredriksson hit a great ball. Protegéerna made a substitution. Bo-Erik Springfält replaced Kristoffer Kock. Erling Fredriksson kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Holger Johnsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narciso Vergaray in the 72nd minute of play. In the 76th minute of the match INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB got a corner. Protegéerna's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Higinio Barros ran over to the corner to take the kick. Higinio Barros made a great header on INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB's corner, it was just that Protegéerna's Holger Johnsson managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 77th minute Roy Bennet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pepe Santoro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Protegéerna made a substitution. Roy Gallberg replaced Roy Bennet. INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Roy Gallberg scored to the left of an out of position Pepe Santoro, making the score, 0-3. In the 91st minute, Protegéerna's Roy Gallberg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Roy Gallberg scored 0-5 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pepe Santoro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Protegéerna walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
