After 2 played minutes AS Pikachuzim got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Gaúcho. 5 minutes into the match, Dadá Torres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Angelo Quico. Celtic FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dadá Torres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jimeno Pitin got free with Claudinho Moura in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Angelo Quico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dadá Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the match, AS Pikachuzim's Gildo da Fonseca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Angelo Quico narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Angelo Quico didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Noel Berger went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After 20 played minutes Celtic FC got a freekick which was hit by Leo Gonsalvo. AS Pikachuzim's attentive Ulisses Teixeira managed to snatch the ball when Leo Gonsalvo made a throw-in in the 22nd minute of the game. Dadá Torres scored 0-3 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Angelo Quico, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 36th minute Ulisses Teixeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Quico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alonzo Ortzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Moura having to interfere. Anier Oalo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 45th minute Braulio Llanos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinho Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half AS Pikachuzim were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a defensive mix-up in Celtic FC's zone, Noel Berger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelo Quico came out of the goal and Noel Berger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 67 played minutes AS Pikachuzim got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Gaúcho. The supporters of AS Pikachuzim booed when Celtic FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Fidele didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aílton Carneiro during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
