Ramón Leão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alonzo Ortzi in the 12th minute of the match. Dorian Queiroz hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. A collision led to Dragões Barbudos FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Fred de Amorim hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Fidele in the 23rd minute of play forced Dragões Barbudos FC's goalkeeper Ramón Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Celtic FC's Jimeno Pitin in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dragões Barbudos FC's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Celtic FC's Saul Beila got a free kick in the 30th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Celtic FC. In the 32nd match minute, Celtic FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niceto Naldo to maneuver through the defense. Dragões Barbudos FC's Ramón Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Fidele in the 36th minute of play. Celtic FC's Jimeno Pitin got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Leo Gonsalvo fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Celtic FC's protests and gave Leo Gonsalvo a yellow card for diving instead. After 40 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Celtic FC! The goalkeeper, Angelo Quico, was totally fooled by Dragões Barbudos FC's Edmílson Cerezo, who 42 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After 46 minutes of play, Celtic FC's Jimeno Pitin made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ramón Leão was left in no man's land by his defense there! After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jimeno Pitin was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Dragões Barbudos FC's goalkeeper Ramón Leão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 53rd minute, Armando Fidele ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ramón Leão was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Dragões Barbudos FC were awarded a corner in the 58th minute after Celtic FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edmílson Cerezo took the corner. A collision led to Dragões Barbudos FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Thiago Lima hit a great ball. Vicente Fantini's late challenge caught a Celtic FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vicente Fantini helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Celtic FC booed when Dragões Barbudos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Fantini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jimeno Pitin in the 71stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ramón Leão, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 72 minutes into the match, Celtic FC's goal looked a bit too open when Thiago Lima came free, but Angelo Quico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Celtic FC's Alonzo Ortzi got a free kick in the 76th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thiago Lima in the 78th minute of play forced Celtic FC's goalkeeper Angelo Quico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angelo Quico stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thiago Lima's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. After 89 played minutes Dragões Barbudos FC got a freekick which was hit by Dorian Queiroz. Jimeno Pitin might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ramón Leão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jimeno Pitin ran back to his position shaking his head. Jimeno Pitin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle went the supporters of Celtic FC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Dragões Barbudos FC side.
