The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Torben Scherrer during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 4 played minutes Poli Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Torben Scherrer. Jan-Niclas Ebus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toro Martínez having to interfere. Buenaventura FC's Toro Martínez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Gehlen in the 13th minute of play. A collision led to Poli Timisoara getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Christoph Jurk hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Matias Escobar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buenaventura FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Matias Escobar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robin Wörns breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 17th minute, Jan-Niclas Ebus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Julius-Lasse Eichenauer came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Poli Timisoara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julius-Lasse Eichenauer couldn't finish the play. In the 25th minute, Buenaventura FC's Jairo de Azevedo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Robin Wörns. Robin Wörns yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 29th minute, Sebastian Gehlen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 30 minutes into the game, Matias Escobar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Buenaventura FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Poli Timisoara the free kick. Matias Escobar hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Julius-Lasse Eichenauer might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Toro Martínez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Julius-Lasse Eichenauer ran back to his position shaking his head. 38 minutes into the game, Miguel Urane was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Buenaventura FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Poli Timisoara the free kick. In the 38th match minute, Buenaventura FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Urane to maneuver through the defense. Buenaventura FC's Toro Martínez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Gehlen in the 39th minute of play. In the 44th minute Julius-Lasse Eichenauer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toro Martínez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julius-Lasse Eichenauer to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, Poli Timisoara's Torben Scherrer made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Toro Martínez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Buenaventura FC's Toro Martínez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Buenaventura FC from getting a goal against them. Toro Martínez was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Julius-Lasse Eichenauer capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Julius-Lasse Eichenauer really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. If Julius-Lasse Eichenauer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Buenaventura FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Sebastian Gehlen 62 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. In the 65th minute, Julius-Lasse Eichenauer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Toro Martínez came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Poli Timisoara's Julius-Lasse Eichenauer. But to his dismay, Julius-Lasse Eichenauer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. After a rather tough play, Buenaventura FC's Julio Lozano got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Buenaventura FC's Toro Martínez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Buenaventura FC from getting a goal against them. In the 76th minute, Julius-Lasse Eichenauer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Poli Timisoara defense, Jairo de Azevedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robin Wörns. The Poli Timisoara fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robin Wörns should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Julius-Lasse Eichenauer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Poli Timisoara's supporters rose to their feet, but Julius-Lasse Eichenauer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Toro Martínez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Miguel Urane was shown his second yellow card after 82 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. Torben Scherrer struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Toro Martínez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Poli Timisoara.
