The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Estudiantes de La Plata's Pastor Bikendi got a free kick in the 7th minute. Patryk Kicia hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Bilintx in the 10th minute of play forced Gocław Wilga Warszawa's goalkeeper Lech Wolczewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicolas Kepa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bogumil Paprotny's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bogumil Paprotny in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicolas Kepa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nicolas Kepa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bogumil Paprotny, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Lech Wolczewski was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Marcos Bilintx capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marcos Bilintx really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Rogelio Sotil who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Lech Wolczewski when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, Gocław Wilga Warszawa's Lech Wolczewski got control of the ball when Rogelio Sotil tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Esteve Pueblo got free with Lech Wolczewski in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Gocław Wilga Warszawa booed when Estudiantes de La Plata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogelio Sotil didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esteve Pueblo hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the game, Rogelio Sotil recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lech Wolczewski. Rogelio Sotil showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Rogelio Sotil kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Gocław Wilga Warszawa made a substitution. Boleslaw Bugno replaced Borys Niedzwiecki. Estudiantes de La Plata's Albino Viviano was substituted for Marcos Bilintx. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bogumil Paprotny was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Albino Viviano made a precise shot to the right of Lech Wolczewski. Gocław Wilga Warszawa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. The tension between the Estudiantes de La Plata and the Gocław Wilga Warszawa players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tadeusz Rasialdo hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Lech Wolczewski was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 87th match minute, Estudiantes de La Plata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pastor Bikendi to maneuver through the defense. 90 minutes into the game, Estudiantes de La Plata's Albino Viviano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lech Wolczewski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. If Rogelio Sotil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Estudiantes de La Plata's Nicolas Kepa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogumil Paprotny in the 98th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Gocław Wilga Warszawa players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Estudiantes de La Plata.
